Welcome to Surge Defence - Prevention and treatment in women's safety.

“Self-defence is not just a set of techniques; it is a state of mind that begins with the belief that you are worth defending”.

 

Surge was set up just over four years ago, and has taught just over 4800 people in this time. The purpose of Surge's creation was to able to offer all women and young girls the chance to learn potentially lifesaving skills and knowledge. We are passionate about everyone having access to learning self-defence and do not believe that it should be charged at high costs.

 

Surge works by doing paid work which then helps to fund the free courses for women who are in disadvantaged situations or areas.
